Our story

Hi ladies, we're happy that you've found this website - welcome to the world of BY BANOO! We are Persheng and Perdica, two sisters from Sweden with Iranian roots.

Persheng's story: When she started working after graduating university in 2017, she experienced that it was a struggle to find a good work bag. Working as a management consultant, and as many other professions, she needs to carry her laptop everywhere. As she raised this issue with her female colleagues and friends, she realized that a lot of women were experiencing the same thing. Eager to go the entrepreneurial track for many years, she decided to take the matter in to her own hands, and that's why she founded BY BANOO - a business accessories brand for women, by women.

Perdica, the sister and best friend, studies full-time to become a medical doctor, but we agreed that we should do this together somehow, so she has tagged along as the CMO of BY BANOO, due to her creative mind and attention to details - you will see her a lot on our socials.

Banoo means lady in Persian, and the word is used when a person speaks of a respected woman. We believe that all women are respected ladies, and with this statement we want to highlight the importance of women's place in businesses. We want to contribute to this statement by offering women access to the same business accessories as men have had for decades. Therefore, we invented the female briefcase. Designed in Sweden. SUSTAINABILITY - By working with high quality materials we make sure that you don't need to buy a new bag for a very long time. Fast fashion harms the planet, and we want to make bags that last. In addition, we want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by producing our bags closer to home as well as reducing the environmental impact of leather production.
